Engagement Photography - Blaire and Chris - Greenville NC

I couldn't have known when I was contacted by Blaire and her mom how much fun I was going to have with this couple. For me, engagement sessions are about making them special and unique to each couple, not doing the same locations or poses every time. And what a better way to start the session than to start at McDonald's!! Yes, I said McDonald's!! Who knew that when Blaire showed up to her Sunday School class that met at McDonald's, that she would meet the love of her life!!! According to Blaire, Chris rescued her from some other fellas that were trying to talk to her and the rest was H I S T O R Y!!

I was so impressed on our session at how much this couple laughed!! They truly had fun just being with each other and no matter what I asked them to do they never batted an eye...whether it was overcoming a fear of heights or even wearing a cool sock sweater :) Blaire and Chris, you guys are so much fun.... I can't wait til your wedding!!!! But until then enjoy looking at some of my favorites from your session!!!

Newborn Photography - Smith Family - Greenville NC

There's not many things that is sweeter than the innocence of a newborn!! And nothing gets me more excited than to get the opportunity to capture images of one..... that is until I walk into a home and realize they are true ECU fans and she is being raised a a little Pirate!!

When I got there, sweet little Logan had not had a nap all day and she was a true angel for pictures!! Sonya and Emery, thanks so much for allowing me to capture such a precious time in your lives!! Logan is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!

For years I have had people ask me would I ever consider giving lessons in photography and lessons in Photoshop and for years I have said no. But I have finally come to a place in my career that I am completely confident in the skills I have learned and I am completely confident that I can teach it as well. So I am offering 2 separate classes, one for beginners and one for advanced photographers, as well as one on one sessions for photography and Photoshop. Didn't I say it would make a GREAT Christmas present!!

The Beginners/Intro class will focus on learning more about your camera, organizing your images, a simple shoot with a model, and a head-shot of each participant done by me - copyrights of image will be provided to each participant! This class will be limited to 10 people, it will last 2.5 hours, and each participant is asked to bring their SLR camera, and if possible a laptop.

Cost is $125 The following dates are open: Jan 9th, Feb 6th, and March 6th

The Advanced Class will go into more detail, teaching you how to achieve the image you want by using the manual settings on your camera. A model will be provided for a session, followed by a short Photoshop instruction period using the images we took, and a short critique. Each participant will also receive a head-shot done by me - copyrights of image will be provided to each participant! This class is limited to 6 people, it will last 3 hours, and each participant is asked to bring their SLR camera, a laptop with Photoshop, and a card reader to transfer their images from their camera to their computer.

Cost is $175 The following dates are open: Jan 30th, Feb 20th, and March 13th

These classes are being offered on a first come basis. Due to the nature of my business other dates will be added depending on my availability. These prices are introductory prices and are subject to increase in the spring.

One on One Photoshop/Photography

Are you a hands on learner that is ready to go to the next level in your photography or editing?? Then try a one one one session. Sessions are a minimum of 2 hours and are customized to the area you want to learn/grow.

Cost is $75 per hour-weekday rates or $125 per hour -evening/weekend rates

Daily rates: (9:00-5:00) $500 does include lunch, session with a model, step by step guide in editing the session, and a mini session of participant shot by me with the copyrights to images provided to participant. These sessions are VERY limited!!!

Marissa & Michael - Wedding - Society Room - Hartford CT

Brenna - Bridal Portaits - Greenville NC

Brenna and Kenneth said "I do" and now I can finally share her beautiful portraits. I love it when we use places that are meaningful to my clients and this location couldn't be more special. Brenna chose to do her portraits at her grandmother's house out in her yard. What a great choice to have your portraits done in a place where you have practically grown up!! And to make it better Brenna was able to take the lace from her grandmother's dress to use as her veil. But it doesn't stop there she also incorporated the delicate lace into her dress. All together it was definitely the type of dress that took your breath away when you saw it! Brenna, I have enjoyed working with you and Kenneth!! Your wedding was beautiful and I can't wait to work on your pictures!!! I hope you guys have an amazing honeymoon!!!

Beau's Buddies - Heidi Newfield Concert

Back in 2007 I heard of these amazing little fella named Beau Stanley, who was fighting with all he had to beat this High Risk Stage III Neuroblastoma diagnosis he was given. His strength and courage overwhelmed me! What could I do to help this family on their journey? I couldn't give me any medicine but I knew I could document his journey. After I talked to his mom, Jennifer, I knew this was a project that would hold a special meaning to my heart. The goal was to follow Beau through his journey and document any of the moments Jennifer wanted documented. The first decision Jennifer made was to have a session with just him. So one beautiful afternoon Beau's grandma and cousins met me out at the farm and we did his first official session. Once we achieved that goal, we set another session to capture some family pictures. Unfortunately due to his progressing disease we never got the chance to fulfill that session. Early one morning my phone rang and I heard the news I hoped I never would....the disease was causing Beau to loose the fight, he was not expected to live through the next day or so. On November 17th 2006 Beau earned his angel wings and went to Heaven. I was being asked to cover his viewing and funeral. I had never covered anything like that but all I could think was this was still part of his journey and it was I could do this amazingly difficult time for Jennifer and Parham. Almost 2 years to the anniversary of Beau going home I had the honor of continuing to cover the journey for the Stanley family. Since Beau has gone to Heaven an amazing fund has been started by the name of Beau's Buddies Cancer Fund. This particular fund recognizes through personal experience, the struggles that cancer patients and their families endure. They raise money locally and help families locally. So what better way to raise money than to have a concert!!! And what better person to have to do you concert than Country Music Recording Artist, Heidi Newfield. The concert was amazing and her connection to this particular organization and community was breathtaking!! Here are some of the images I was able to catch

Hunt Family - Halloween 09

OHHHHH how I love the Hunt Family!! I have known them for years and they are so much fun! When Tim called me with the idea to do some pictures of them in their Halloween costumes, all dressed as super heros, I was all over it! So Indiana Jones aka Timothy, Wonder Woman aka Denise, Superboy aka Samuel, & Batboy aka Elijah all followed my lead as I gave them a little direction and below is what we got! I love it when families make memories like this for their kids..HOW COOL!!!

Donna & Andrew Wedding - Barns at Wesleyan Hills-CT

Back in October I took my yearly trip to CT to shoot with Carla and her amazing team! And what a weekend for me to come hang out. She had a double header and I watched her rock both weddings like it was no one's business! On this particular wedding the venue, Barns at Wesleyan Hills in Middleton, was amazing and I was a little bummed that it was a washout!! UNTIL Carla pulled out all the stops, had a back up plan for pre wedding shots at an amazing theatre THEN did some sick off camera lighting for the ceremony! So I am posting some of my favorites that I took that day while I was second shooting but make sure you head over to her site to see her AMAZING shots!

Lori recently saw a special I ran at the Bellefont Plantation and contacted me about having her family pictures done there. It had been a while since I had seen Kennedy so I was floored when I saw how much she had grown! I love it when I can make sessions fun for my clients, so after a few moments I knew finding animals with sweet little Kennedy was how I could make that happen, most importantly striped bugs.
